How to Pair Wine and Food

So you want to throw a and dine party? Well have no fear because it isn’t that difficult, and just about anybody can easily put together a great party. These parties are great social atmospheres, and they are also a great excuse to break out that great bottle of you have been saving for a special occasion. A party is the best way to get to know new neighbors and to meet new lifelong friends. There are a few simple steps to throwing your and dine party, just follow them and you will be fine. How do I throw a and dine party? First things first, choose what you want to base everything on, the or the food. Whichever one you choose first will alter the second one. If you choose to decide your menu first you will have to find blends that compliment that menu. If you choose to pick first, your menu will need to be altered to compliment that blend. There are thousands of these combinations, and the most important thing to remember is that there is no wrong way to do this. Lets say you pick your first (I recommend this because it takes a lot of hassle out of changing your menu). You now need to decide what kind of you would like to serve. If you are looking for a more formal party, a white might be served. White wines are very elegant and make a bold statement when paired with

food. For instance if you decide on a white wine, let's say Pinot Grigio, a shrimp pasta in a alfredo sauce would compliment the blend wonderfully. Although if your party is more casual and laid back kind of party you mite want to consider a red one. Say you are choosing to serve a spicy rice and sausage Cajun mix at this party, a nice red Zinfandel would compliment the spicy Cajun food perfectly. Another important thing to remember is to realize that one does not compliment one food, they both equally compliment one another and you may find a different combination to be more pleasing to your palette. After you have chosen your blend and your menu, you are ready to invite the guest, cook the food, set the table, and prepare to have some fun. One quick tip to add a little something extra to your party set up a fun adult board game, and just watch the fun begin.
